KML Editor v1.5 (Preview Release) help
Path

Defines a connected set of line segments (Path). Use Line Style to specify the color, color mode, and width of the line. When a Line is extruded, the line is extended to the ground, forming a polygon that looks somewhat like a wall or fence. For extruded Line, the line itself uses the current Line Style, and the extrusion uses the current Poly Style.

The grid (tupples) have a small popup menu where you can delete the selected row(s) or change the Altitude of the selected row(s). Just right the grid left corner to select all rows or left-click a cell. You can use Shift+Click or CTRL+Click to select multiple rows.

Extrude

Specifies whether to connect the Line to the ground. To extrude a Line, the value for Altitude mode must be either relativeToGround or absolute, and the altitude component within the coordinates element must be greater than 0 (in the air). The vertices in the Line are extruded toward the center of the Earth's sphere.

Tessellate

Specifies whether to allow the Line to follow the terrain. To enable tessellation, the value for Altitude mode must be clampToGround. Very large Lines should enable tessellation so that they follow the curvature of the earth otherwise they may go underground and be hidden.

Altitude mode

Specifies how Altitude components in the coordinates element are interpreted. Possible values:

Coordinates (Longitude and Latitude are required)
Two or more coordinate rows, each consisting of floating point values for longitude, latitude, and altitude.
The altitude component is optional.
