Although Kml Builder has improved considerably, it is important to understand its current limitations.

Warning:
Be sure to make backups of your KML files before opening in Kml Builder Release.
This release will make changes to your KML HTML content and it has not been
thoroughly tested. Kml Builder requires feedback from users like you to
successfully find and resolve issues.
Note: Use KMZ files when you plan to share your file
with others as it will include all dependant files in a single file
(KMZ).

Kml Builder communicates tightly with the Google Earth Plug-in software therefore some undesired behaviours may occur. The most common issue can be resolved easily by turning off some of Kml Builder navigation features such as Show/hide description balloon or by closing some document tabs (especially the Source tab) that you are not using during edits.
Because KML
(Wiki) files
may depend on external files such as images, models etc that are located on
various media, some Save operations may not carry all dependant
files. Always fully test your KML file before sharing it with others.

If the Google Earth Plug-in throws an error and closes, you will likely loose your changes since you last saved your file. If this occurs, restart the Kml Builder application from the File » Restart Application to recover from this type of error.
