By default the menu appears with large icons. You can hide these icons by un-checking the View » Menu Icons sub menu.

File

New:  Create a new blank kml document. Open:  Open an existing kml document from practically anywhere locally and remotely. Supported file types are kml, xml, kmz, zip. Save:  Save the latest changes or opens the Save As dialog if the file does not exist. Save As:  Save a copy of the opened kml file as another name. Save Selection As:  Save the selected feature as another name either as a kml or as a kmz file type. Share/Post:  Choose between the entire kml file of the selected feature. Creates a temporary kmz file and opens the Upload to the Internet/Intranet dialog box. Email:  Choose between the entire kml file of the selected feature. Creates a temporary kmz file and opens the Email Your Place dialog box. Exit:   Exit KML Editor.

Edit
	Refresh:  Refreshes all tabs and reload the file in Google Earth if it is open.

View
	Crosshair:  Show/hide the crosshair. Balloon:  Show/hide the balloon text. Sound On:  Turn popup message sound on/off. Menu Icons:  Show/hide menu icons.

Tools
	Balloon Templates:  Create and manage HTML balloon templates. Email Templates:  Create and manage email templates. Share/Post Profiles:  Create and manage ftp profiles. Options:  Opens the general options dialog. This dialog includes a general tab and the email transport configuration tab.

Google Earth
	Open:  Opens Google Earth Close:  Closes Google Earth. Login:  Login to Google Earth server. Logout:  Logout from Google Earth server. Dock/Undock:  Dock/undock Google Earth Earth Viewer . Unhide:  Unhides Google Earth if it has been hidden by another application.
